Whereas convergent thinking, is focused on refining those ideas and narrowing down scope. In module one focused on mind mapping an exercise meant to help bring ideas that are connected to different thoughts that come to mind when thinking about a specific topic. Again, in module one, we learned about to ways that a designer can learn about, and empathize with their user. Some exercises that can be done to do this arm, mind, mapping, and mood boarding. Mood boarding, incorporates patterns, colors, images, etc. to get a better understanding of the thoughts and feelings going through a users head. As mentioned previously. Urgent thinking, is focused on refining those normally done during the define phase of the design thinking process. To do this one might use how might we statements, problem statements, or user impact statements. These are all completed with the knowledge and understanding that have been brought forth by the divergent thinking exercises completed before hand. Once you have a clear understanding of your user, you would narrow down on what the actual problem is an example of this through a how might we statement could be how might we improve banking personnel processes so that clients can have a much more efficient time when coming to brick and mortar banks
