In my opinion, the auto-save feature, the citations insert, and the review taskbar where you can scan through comments + edits made in the word document are three features that have changed the game in word processing. Over the past few years, I have been gravitating towards creating documents on docs.google.com because of the google ecosystem. I can work on a word document on my computer, and continue it on my mobile phone when I am away from my keyboard as long as I log into the same account. However, this weeks lesson was a great refresher of the similar features available on Microsoft word.
I think these features affect my own use of word processing tools because I am no longer constantly worried if my work is backed up due to the auto-save feature. Next, having the word processor automatically create citations for me after I feed it information makes sure that my citation is written in the proper format and order. This saves me time from searching up how to properly make a citation and formatting each citation manually. Lastly, being able to add comments to word documents creates a collaborative experience especially when working with a team. This feature helps make sure that data is correct and increases the channels of communication?
