In order to seek to develop critical thinking regarding Marketing, groups$/$teams will be required to find current stories in the news that relate to the chapters being covered $($good places to look are Business Week, WSJ$,$ Fortune, newspapers, or the web$).$ Consider how the article relates to real world applications of core issues in marketing and marketing strategy. Highlight for the class the marketing concepts addressed in the article and then explain to the class how these concepts apply to the course.

Each group will record and post their commentary to the discussion board and each individual comment on at least $2$ other groups with feedback.

Be sure the team designee posting your video includes your group number and name.

Structure:

You should state up front the key concepts your article will touch on at the beginning. Your team can do a high level overview with each student in the team should spending $2$ minutes on a key concept from the chapters being covered in the current week that is evident in the article.

Timing:

Commentaries should be no more than $2$ minute times the number of team members plus $2$ minutes for the overview in length $($i$.$e$.2$ minutes $x5$ group members $=10$ minutes$).$

Scoring:

Points earned will be based on how relevant the topic is to the evening's discussion and how well each member explains those concepts and answer questions.

Articles should be current, published within the last $3$ months.

Tips:

It is important that you stay within this time frame. If you go over, your grade will be lowered.

Do not read from the article. Spend your time on a high level overview and how it enhances learning from Chapters $6-10.$
