In order to test the straightness of an inverted vee of a guide way in a horizontal plane of machine tool, an autocollimator and a reflector block of 127 mm base length are used. The reflector block is stamped "30sec=0.018mm". Determine cumulative linear displacement of each position w.r.t initial point zero. ii. Draw the graphical representation of the straightness of the guide way w.r.t line joining the starting point zero and end point. iii. Can this machine guide way be acceptable? Note: Departures of 0.02mm per meter is considered to be an acceptable tolerance for out of straightness.
