in organic lab, when looking at the TCL of synthesis product, dispensed standard acetylsalicylic acid, dispensed standard salicylic acid and dispril. If we see that the TCl plate shows that the synthesis product is of equal value to dispril. The synthesis product and dispril is lower than acetylsalicylic acid, but higher than salicylic acid. (salcisylic acid thus has the lowest Rf value) What could be chained here? how should it really be? why has the result been like that? (will also mention that the synthesis product is acetylsalicylic acid + vinegar which has been synthesized from salicylic acid + acetic anhydride. Thank you for the help, will give an upvote!
