In reference to the topic discussed in the unit about how an organization can be affected by external and internal environment and how the outcome or the result of project is influenced directly by these variables , I would like to put forward my opinion on the topic above .

With tons of technological, political and economical changes happening everyday in the business world, it is vital to stay vigilant of the changing dynamics to cope up with it and for that it is important to have a strong team that can take the organization at the level .

As a project manager new in the role , there would be some challenges that would come across my path. To have a competitive edge in the market , those challenges need to be tackled one by one.

But the first thing would be to gather my teams confidence in me and for that the approach I need to follow is 'lead by example'.. It is equally important to motivate your team and providing them necessary suggestions . In this case three suggestions that I can provide is first knowing strengths and weaknesses, second keeping the communication open and third would be to have continuous follow ups.

Strengths and weaknesses- The first thing I believe as leader I need to be aware of is the strengths and weaknesses of my team. Every individual has different strengths and different opportunities to work on. And if each teammate can understand each other's area of focus, the team will be able to put efforts in the right place and work better as an individual and also as a team.

Communicating - For me, the most important thing when you are working in a team is communication. It is always better to keep the communication open for my team members, so that they are not hesitant to bring up their concerns to me .Taking suggestions and feedback from the team makes them feel confident and empowered, which in turns keeps the team going in the right direction.

Continuous follow-ups- It is always important to give clear directions to the team and set expectations right when it comes to work. But it is way more important to validate that the work done and the way it is done. This will make the team adapt to my way of working as well as adapt me to their way of working.

All the above suggestions will help to balance the internal and external resources and work effectively to respond to the external environment and help the organization adapt to change which in turn will make the organization stronger and more flexible .
