I have selected HIPAA as my topic. This law applies to the medical field. Doctors, nurses, hospitals, offices. Any little thing you have told your medical providers will be in your file. It can be sent between different hospitals or doctors digitally which is where there is some concern. The most important element is that it is the patients info and they can choose how it is used. For the most part. There is a guideline that must be followed, and while yes they are well protected its not impossible that something might get out. It is possible that I might encounter something with this because I would like to work at a hospital, my wife is a nurse so it would be cool to work together, for the most part.
