As you said, sometimes there needs to be more research and development done. In regard to patent, copyright, and trademark, there does need to be more research undertaken within the aspects of technology and the internet. Though such have been around for decades by this point in our history, internet and technology are still being understood. There is much that we have left to learn about the advancements - many loopholes and the like to think about countering. As you said, also, with the growth of technology, people have become wiser to stealing and using property that is not theirs. They have found loopholes, been able to use technology against itself and bypass many different sorts of security measures. Unfortunately, our protections, both in the legal sector and the technology sector, are in their infant stages. They provide a good start, but I believe, there is more that should be done. We will begin to see more active legislation, too, as the years go by and our understanding of technology and the internet increases. With the arrival of AI and similar applications, the fight for the protection of patent, copyright, and trademark is yet to be complete.
