In the aftermath of Newtown, CT, Orlando and San Bernadino there has been a concerted push by some groups for new gun regulation. On the other side, there is strong support for individual rights. This forum does not ask you for your personal opinion on the topic. Instead, I ask a much more nuanced legal question based on a personal observation. It appears to me that generally (there are exceptions) much of the gun regulation seems to focus on urban areas, and much of the support for gun rights comes from more rural settings. Is it possible to create a comprehensive policy that is constitutional that can satisfy both camps. If so what form would it take?
