People who want to raise kids should have to get a parenting license first. Parenting is a lot like piloting an airplane. In both cases, people's lives are in your hands: you could seriously injure or even kill someone if you make a mistake. Parenting and flying both take a lot of knowledge and some important skills. Before you are allowed to fly your own plane, you have to get training from an expert pilot. You have to practice the key skills and learn the key information. Finally, you have to pass a test to prove that you meet some minimum safety standards before you get a pilot's license to fly.
