In the books Wired for Love or Wired for Dating by Stan Tatkin there are some discussions about myths - one such myth is that one must love oneself first before being in a relationship.
Some may agree that it's a myth - like me, it's actually one of my pet peeves to force or demand one to work on oneself first or become "perfectly in love with self" before dating. My thought is practice makes perfect - so how can I better learn how to relate well with others - if I never relate to others?
Others may think differently that one does need to be in love with oneself before dating.
