Particulates are collected on pre-weighed 5­µm pore size, 37-mm diameter low ash polyvinyl chloride (PVC) filters. For the NIOSH method, samples are collected with a 10-mm nylon cyclone, a Higgins-Dewell cyclone, or an aluminum cyclone on a 5­µm PVC membrane using a personal sampling pump.
