In the insulated steam nose shown in the figure; The temperature of the superheated steam inside the pipe is 320 oC and the temperature of the external environment is 5 oC. The conduction heat conduction coefficients of the pipe material and the insulator material are 80 W/mK and 0.05 W/mK, respectively. The convection heat transfer coefficient of the inner surface of the pipe is 60 W/m2K, and the convection heat transfer coefficient of the outer surface of the insulating material is 18 W/m2K. Radius measurements are respectively; rl=2.5 cm, r2=2.75 cm and r3=5.75 cm. For a pipe length of L = 1m, find the heat transfer from the inside of the pipe to the outside environment by calculating the thermal resistances. Heat transfer is one-dimensional, ASSUMPTIONS: conduction heat transfer coefficients are constant, there is no change in heat transfer with time. There is no heat generation within the pipe material and insulator material.
