In the matter of Masterpiece Cakeshop v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission, I agree with the Supreme Court decision. The Supreme Court's decision wasn't whether Mr. Phillips had the right to refuse to bake a cake to celebrate the same-sex couple marriage, but whether the Commission treated Mr. Phillips neutrally. There were three issues in the case: anti-discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation, freedom of expression, and freedom of religion. The Commission determined Mr. Phillips violated the Colorado Anti-Discrimination Act (CADA) out of blatant hostility toward Mr. Phillips' religious beliefs. In a previous case, Mr. William Jack visited three bakeries and requested a cake with disparaging images and words that reflected his religious beliefs on same-sex marriage. The bakers refused on the grounds it demeaned gay persons or gay marriage. When Mr. Jack filed a complaint, the Commission denied him relief and supported the bakers. However, when Mr. Phillips refused to create a cake to celebrate a same-sex wedding based on his religious beliefs, the Commission determined he had violated CADA. Further, some members on the Commission were openly hostile toward Mr. Phillips' religious beliefs in the public hearings, specifically aligning his religious beliefs with support of slavery and the Holocaust. The Supreme Court determined the Commission did not act neutrally toward Mr. Phillips and in fact was hostile in Mr. Phillips' case but not the case of the three bakers wh
