Comment on how economic development, as mentioned in the presentation, has impacted China from the period covered, especially during the Dark Ages, the Industrial Revolution, the Awakening and the Reformation, the Depression years-sandwiched by two Great Wars, the post-war situation, the OPEC crisis, the Asian Crisis, and the current modern times. How do you think it differed back then in China in terms of those years that were mentioned? Is it somewhat the same? What is different in China? How do you think China became the strong nation it is now, despite the many blows of history and the neglect of Western support? What do you think you can teach, as a nation, to a struggling LDC such as the Philippines to be stronger and more resilient?
