In this section of Lesson 6 we distinguished between the concepts of equality and equity (Perry, 2016). Briefly, equity does not necessarily mean that two groups are treated exactly the same; an equitable solution can allow for differential treatment to promote equality. Was such controversy warranted for movie theatres booking a women's only showing of Wonder Woman? Do you think differential or unique treatment for historically marginalized groups can ultimately promote equality in the long run? Why or why not?
