In Unit 1, you have learned about introductory programming concepts, elements of high level programs, structure and decisions. Now that you have completed the unit, its time to reflect on what youve learned.
For this discussion, answer the following question:
Given what youve learned in this unit, how might you use this knowledge working for a large company?
In your initial post, be sure to:
Briefly describe the type of company.
Briefly describe the type of project for which you might use the knowledge gained in Unit 1.
Identify at least three (3) specific ways you would use this knowledge in developing a piece of software.
In addition to posting your own response, you MUST read and comment on AT LEAST TWO of your fellow classmates posts. This peer response is worth 5 points of your total score. Your reply should further the discussion and be meaningful either by making observations, comparisons, or asking thoughtful questions. I expect that your comments will be substantive - not just "you made a lot of good points" or similar statements.
Your discussion is worth 25 points and will be evaluated using the CIS 129 Discussion Rubric. This rubric is available under the Grading Information tab of the Discussion area, as well as in the course Grade Center.
