In what sense is there a "model" or "theory" of Consumer behavior? Would not many or most people argue that their actions and decisions are so unique as to be beyond (social) scientific generalization? Is there a distinction to be made between individual generalization and those about large groups of consumers? Include reference to the microeconomic variable known as (MU/P) which consumer modeling assumes that we seek to "maximize".
