In your own words, how can we find a proper balance between looking for the biological and environmental mechanisms of behavior?

How would you explain to others - who have less understanding of brain and behavior than you do now - why we need this balance?

In your answer, please include at least two serious issues that could arise if a clear understanding of just how unclear the exact contributions of either nature or nurture are to any behavior and condition studied. Think of immediate issues, long term consequences, and issues affecting attitudes and beliefs about the biological causes of behavior and treatments.

While you can discuss any lecture from the semester, our last two lectures did discuss specific examples if you need a guide to start your answer.

If it is unclear, there is no right or wrong answer as long as you are discussing topics discussed in this course and justify with examples why we need to consider both genes and environment.
