A Brand that I am loyal to is Verizon. At first I had their service in 2004 because I grew up in a small town and they were 1 of 2 services that actually worked there. It was a bit pricey as a high school student, but they had good promotions for minutes and texts. Weekends and after 9pm were free. That kept me as a customer when I was younger. As I got older, and joined the service, I realized that they gave me good reception wherever I went whether it was on base in Whidbey Island, on a detachment in Fallon, or getting ready to set sail in San Diego.
Now, I know they are expensive, but to me they offer the most for my money. I get the best reception where I work. The military has a contract with Verizon so it works out when they have a reception antenna in my work an no other service does. I also like their promotions for adding services to your regular line and getting extra iPad. Or even back in my day, they gave me a free iPod. When I was stationed in Italy, they allowed me to pause my coverage with no penalties and keep my same phone number. This was quite helpful. As soon as my 3 years there was over, I came back and reinstated my service with no problems. They also offer overseas deals when I deploy. I do not have to worry about getting a SIM card to stay in contact with my spouse and family.
If their reception decreased, or if they stopped offering overseas coverage, I would have to rethink staying with them. I am going on 20 years as a customer, so they would have to do something pretty drastic to get me to leave it.
