In your responses to your peers, consider what safeguards could be applied to address the scenarios that your peers have presented. How would you act in that scenario? What actions or strategies could you or others take to remediate the ethical issues? When looking at the AICPA Professional Code of Conduct I believe that the most important integrity. This word stood out to me immediately because it is something that I see during my job daily. I have multiple calls each day from clients and I see how each relationship changes based on integrity. Integrity becomes extremely important because it keeps the honesty between the client and the business owner. Without this honesty you begin to see many upset clients who in turn say bad things about the business. Whether this be because the owner was not there to meet with them or they were irresponsible with the clients information it hurts the business. Integrity can make or break a business because without it you have many upset people who no longer trust the business. It is important to always have a strong relationship with your clients because they are the ones giving referrals to their friends and family.
