Do you believe if taxpayers across TX: 1) Might not actually dread paying income tax if we could be more involved in terms of actually selecting how taxes paid are applied [e.g., Solar Power Farms that transfer energy to nearby homes/communities; Bicycle Lane Programs in urban areas; and/or Tree Planting Programs that reduce pollution, increase oxygen production, reduce ground level temperatures, and add to aesthetic appeal to almost any neighborhood ; Mobile Health Clinics for rural parts of the state ]; and 2) Might also encourage community members to get to know their city offices better once they know which department is responsible for producing a return in investment(s) [e.g., Mayor's Office of Resilience and Sustainability (MORS) - Houston; Neighborhood Partnering Program / Transportation and Public Works - Austin; and Parks and Community Service Dept. - Fort Worth; Health and Human Services Dept. - any city in rural TX], and be more involved in local politics as a result?
