In week 2 your instructor will be performing an analysis of international HR policy differences. Using the same pattern, you are required to broadly outline HR policies practiced in Latin America and the African region. You are required to create a table for your analysis. You must mention at least 15 HR policies for each country within both regions, i.e., Africa and Latn America.
Key Notes
You should have at least 15 HR policies for each country in your table. Please note that some of the elements in the instructor's table are not specifically HR policies and are added solely for your understanding, but you are required to use only HR policies in your table.
Although you are required to submit your project in tabular form if you have any specific policy that needs further explanation, you must include a note at the end of the table or a bullet point to clarify it.
You have to choose at least 3 countries within each region for your analysis. You can prepare 2 tables - one for each region
Assessment Criteria
For this information to be robust, you have to use at least 15 references - Google and Wikipedia will not be considered authentic sources. You will be marked down for using them.
As a general rule, any resource more than 10 years old 1s considered outdated information and should not be used
You will be marked on the thoroughness of your analysis and how well-informed your analysis is. For instance, if you copy all or most of the elements of the instructor's analysis, there is less chance of newness. You can look at added HR elements/policies to make a creative table.
Grading will also be impacted if your table is filled with only one type of HR policy, for instance, mentioning various types of paid leaves policy. A thorough analysis will discuss a wide range of important HR policies. Also, avoid using policies that are too basic, such as lunch breaks, hours of work, contract or full-time employment,
The correct file type is Word only. No EXCEL files will be accepted
For every element, you have to provide an in-text reference in the table so that the instructor can backtrack the information for cross-reference. You will be marked down if most of the HR policies for a country are taken from one or a few dominant sources only. You are required to show the instructor that you have gathered information from multiple sources for this to be considered robust and reliable.
You must include the title page, Introduction (half page strictly), Tabular analysis, Conclusion (half page strictly), and a list of references. NUMBER the references in your list. There is no need for an abstract.
