Inferential statistics allow us to make generalizations about a population from a sample. In other words, we can make assumptions about what our sample data is telling us about our population. This method is used everyday in industries throughout the world, including extensively in healthcare when testing new drugs, treatments, etc.

Using the internet, locate an article in which inferential statistics were used during a study. The article should reference a sample and offer results from the study. (Note: A sample size MUST be given in order to use the article for this assignment.) The article does not need to be healthcare specific. 2. Provide a brief summary of the article, the sample size, and the conclusions drawn. (10 pts)

3. Using table 10-1 in your textbook, determine which sampling method was used in the study (i.e. cluster sample, quota sample, stratified random sample, etc.). Describe how the sample was selected. If the article does not disclose this information, state which method you think was used, or which method you would recommend using, and why. (5 pts)

4. Analyze the study conducted and suggest one thing you would have done differently (different sampling method, different sample size, different confidence interval, etc.). Justify your response. (10 pts)
