Goal/Objective

In an effort to get out of debt you have decided to open up a house painting business; a couple of brushes, a tarp and ladder (a little bit of paint) what can go wrong?

Instructions

Information that needs to be captured as part of the database:

Contact information for the customer is a must. You need the customers first and last name as well as their complete address. You will need to capture one phone number and one email address for each customer. Note: Not all customers will have a contract with us. Their name may be in the database for marketing purposes.

Contract between yourself and the home or business owner. Needs to include the complete address for the building that needs to be painted; only one address per contract. Note: The information for the work location is not always the same for each contract that being said please include a complete set of attributes in the contract table for the work location.

You need to keep a list of rooms that that need to be painted. Keep in mind there may be a different colour selection for each room of the building that is being painted. Only one colour of paint can be used in a room.

Date and time the work is to be performed as well as the date and time that the work was completed.

Only one employee is assigned to complete each contract.

Each paint has a cost per can that must be captured in the inventory; customers will want to know how much each can of paint will cost. In addition, you must capture the total number of cans of paint used and the cost of the paint for each room that was painted.

For each employee include their name, address, hire date, salary, termination date. Each employee has a nickname, for example, Bart Simpson is Slowpoke, etc. Because we use their nick names at work please use their nickname on the contract look up wizard.

We only accept cash at the job site so there is no need to capture payment information.

The report needs to include the work address (just the street address, and city), estimated date the work is to be performed, room name and room colour.
