As a motivational speaker and a famous lecturer on managing conflict in the workplace, you have been asked by Starbucks to deliver a lecture to the employees at a conference. Your job is to use the different ways to manage conflict that you've learned about, as well as, 2 ideas of your own and apply them to their work setting. You should format this as a media presentation using powerpoint, Prezi, or any other presentation tool of your choice.
(Remember to cite all resources appropriately in MLA fo mat.)
Your presentation should include:
1. Brief introduction of who you are (this can be fictional information) and what your objective is with the presentation. Try to include a good "hook" to get your audience interested right away. This could be a cartoon, meme, quote, etc.
2. An outline of your presentation
3. Methods of managing conflict and how they apply to the Starbucks setting
4. Media example for managing conflict (This could be in the form of a YouTube video, movie clip, commercial, news article, etc.)
5. A list of additional community resources the employees may use to manage conflict
6. Closing remarks
7. Make sure to list all sources used at the end of your presentation. Any form of pla giarism will be given a grade of ZERO.
This will take the form of a formal presentation and as such, you must be professional in your language and delivery. You should use point form in your presentation as paragraphs will not be effective and will result in a poor grade. You will be graded on your professionalism, organization, communication, research/sources and the quality of your points. You will not be doing this orally so you have to convey all of these elements in the delivery of your presentation. Remember to be engaging in your content as you want to captivate your audience!!!
