An employer is responsible for the safety of theemployees who are working from home during work hours. Each companycan establish its policy to meet these requirements. Working fromHome Inspection checklist is just one of the tools to meet therequirements.
In some workplaces, a manager and an employeerepresentative from the local Joint Occupational Healthy SafetyCommittee (OHS) or the Worker Health and Safety Representative willbe required to come to the employee home and complete the Healthand Safety Inspection Checklist and approve the proposed workspace.If anyone or more of the below items are not met / maintained, thealternate work arrangement will be ended and the employee will berequired to revert to their in office working arrangements as soonas practicable as determined by the company.
Other workplaces, asking the employees to completeWorking from Home Inspection checklist and submit it to theirmanager.
