Employees in the parts washing area were using large quantities of methyl ethyl ketone and acetone to clean parts. The process required employees to place large parts into a solvent cleaning station and spray the parts with Solven 100, a mixture containing 75% MEK and 25% acetone. The spraying process created a high risk of the chemical splashing into the employee's eyes.
