Would offering more movies in IMAX attract more movie goers?
AMC and other movie theaters are having to compete with streaming services. Some movies are released only in theater while others are released simultaneously on streaming and movie theaters. The cost to go to the movies has increased and it is difficult to go to the movies on the spur of the moment. With the recliner seating at most theaters, you have to get your tickets online and plan ahead by more than a couple of hours. Then you have fees to pay to purchase your tickets. This can add up quickly for a family of 4 to go see the latest movie. Then you know you are going to get popcorn because who can resist the smell when you walk into the theater. Personally, I like watching my movies at home and am willing to wait until it comes on one of the streaming services I subscribe to. One solution is to have your ticket prices lower for children depending on age or remove the fees when you purchase 4 or more tickets or have group pricing.
