Instructions

1. Chapter 7 ofForensic Accounting and Fraud Examinationprovides the process of fraud investigation.
2. Using OCLS resources, research the (accounting related) fraud investigation process in scholarly journals and business periodicals. Note: The AICPA and the ACFE are two good places for information.
3. Write a three page paper based on the research, citing a minimum of three sources. Explain best practices, current trends, or supplemental information regarding the fraud investigation process.
4. Your paper should demonstrate the following:
   1. Solid, respected research (mostly peer reviewed articles) which has a clear point of connection to the subject selected from the textbook. Your research should be recent (within the last five years).
   2. Practical application which is clearly outlined based on logical conclusions drawn from the research.
   3. Your understanding of the subject material should be evident. Your conclusions should be supported by the research.
5. Provide a detailed explanation that demonstrates clear, insightful critical thinking.
6. The paper should be written as a formal research paper utilizing APA format with a cover page that includes a running head, abstract, thesis statement in the introduction, body, conclusion, and reference page.
7. When you have completed your assignment, save a copy for yourself and submit a copy to your instructor using the Dropbox by the end of the workshop.
