Instructions for the lab write-up for the Online class Lab 2 for the class will be a combination of previous labs and will be a setup for next week's lab on survey measurement adjustments For this lab, the survey notes are provided for you Make sure you are able to get the HD calculations to match those in the field book. Note that the (tan-1 (slope in decimal format)) converts the slope percent into a slope degree so that we can take the cosine of it Example: sd = 221.5' and slope percent is recorded as 21% ?? = cos ???1 (0.21) 221.5 ?? = cos(11.86) 221.5 ?? = 0.979 221.5 ?? = 216.8 Note: HD must always be less than SD Lab writeup: You should be able to draw the map of the survey traverse either by hand or using the traverse PC software.
