Imagine you were just hired for a leadership position for a company that sells jewelry as an Internet retailer. Here is what you know so far:

• The company's financial performance is not doing well while they continually miss their targeted financial goals. They are also losing their market share. The company hired you to come in and make as many changes as needed to get them on a healthier financial track.
• You have been given the authority to do whatever you could do to improve the company's overall performance sales and market share.
• You immediately gather a lot of data and meet with many of the employees one on one. You determine that one of the biggest reasons that the company is underperforming is because the culture is too complex and too slow to make decisions. There is too much bureaucracy and hierarchy to make a change fast enough to reach success.
• Additionally, Employees are not happy and are never evaluated with feedback. They do not know where they stand with the company.

Based on what you have learned, you decide that the organizational culture must change first and foremost. Share the following:

• Type of culture you will adopt and implement.
• How will you change the culture?
• What will you do to reinforce these changes?
• Will your plan include hiring, firing, more performance evaluations, and feedback?
• Please devise a roll-out strategy that you will use to make this business successful related to their culture.
