  1. This is an exercise in Business Writing and each team has been assigned a topic or reason for writing a business letter to his / her employer.
  2. Details have to be as authentic and real, as possible.
    1. Name or names of employee and address should be one of the members name ( for example ,use Sandeep kaur address 10 Darling side DR,Scarborough,Canada,ON M1E3N8
    2. Company and any other details will be as real as an authentic company etc..
  3. Your letter should be clear, concise, with the proper words , tone and formal style .
  4. Cite at least 3 compelling reasons or supporting statements in the body of the letter.
  5. Letter must NOT be longer than I page, 1.5 spacing between paragraphs and use Times Roman font type and font size of 12.

The salutation is the greeting to the person youre writing to. its appropriate to use Dear Sir or Madam as your salutation. A typical salutation would look like one of these, depending on the persons title:

Body

The body is the content of your letter. Youll want to keep it as short and simple as you can; a professional letter should usually be only a page long,

Use short paragraphs and break up the paragraphs with a blank line in between them. Dont indent the first line.

The body should open with a brief introduction, then carry on into the point of the letterwhy are you writing it?

  • Make your main point in the second paragraph, then justify that point in the third paragraph.
  • In the next few paragraphs, add any supporting information or evidence for your point.
  • Your last paragraph should sum up your points in a few brief sentences.

In most letter, this is also where you request some type of action, like asking your manager to respond or to advise etc..

Closing

To sign off your letter, choose a simple closing like Sincerely, Thank you, or Best regards. Capitalize the first word only, then add a comma.
