In the United States, where land is cheap, the ratio of land to labour used for livestock is higher than that used for growing wheat, but in more densely populated countries, where land is expensive and labour is cheaper, it is common to have cows using less land and more labour than Americans use to grow wheat. But in more densely populated countries, where land is expensive and labour is cheaper, it is common to have cows using less land and more labour than Americans use to grow wheat. Can we still claim that livestock farming is land intensive compared to growing wheat? Why or why not?
