Internet of Things (IoT) is a large number of digital devices, machines or systems that are connected through a network or internet for data sharing and manipulation. It is an ecosystem in which all the sensors and actuators with the ability to function separately and communicate with each other. IoT is sometimes being referred to Internet of Everything (IoE), covering Internet of Services (IoS), Internet of Manufacturing Services (IoMs), Internet of People (IoP), and Integration of Information and Communication Technology (IICT). The concept of IoT was first initiated by Kelvin Ashton, a British technology pioneer, in 1999. It is also one of the main pillars of Industry 4.0.
