The head of IT at Intertrode must assign six new programmers to offices. The following closeness matrix shows the expected frequency of contact between programmers. The block plan shows the available office locations (1-6) for the six programmers (A-F). Assume equal-sized offices and rectilinear distance. Owing to their tasks, programmer C must be assigned to location 3 and programmer D to location 4.
