introduction and Research You will write an introduction to your inquiry project that will include research and background on all three of Newton's Laws in detail. You must include a thorough discussion of the appropriate scientific concepts and principles explored in this investigation (Newton's Three Laws of Motion). Be specific - you should have at least one paragraph for each law and be sure to address which law(s) are being tested in the investigation. You must cite the research and background information that you include in this section. Rational for your Study & Research Question You will explain why you selected your research question; describe in detail your research question; and fully explain how you developed your research question. Be sure to include your hypothesis (preferably as an, IF/THEN statement). Be specific and include your notes in your journal. You will need to decide on a research question to investigate based on modifications you make to your bottle rocket car. Prior to the beginning of your investigation, make sure your instructor has approved the research question. Be sure to align and discuss how your research question relates to one (or more) Newton's Laws of Motion1. Be sure to include this in your journal and your final paper. Materials and Data Collection Plan As part of this assignment, you will need to create a data collection plan. This will also need to be approved by the instructor before you begin your investigation. You will need to identify your constant variables, control variable (if any), your independent (manipulated) and dependent (responding) variables as well as how you plan to conduct your investigation. You will record the data you collect in your journal. You should include photos of your set up in your journal. Be sure to identify all materials you will need and be specific with your plan. Results You will need to record and present your results. Include a data-table and create a graph (appropriately labeled) that demonstrates your results. Data analysis is NOT drawing conclusions, just stating the results you collected. Analysis and Conclusions This is the section where you answer your research question. Some additional questions to consider in the section include but are not limited to: What did you find out about your manipulated variable? What are the sources of error in your investigation?
