Instructions:

Choose a topic of interest that you would like to explore. It can be a controversial issue or a subject you are passionate about. (please so that on climate change)

Conduct a search on Google and take note of the top 10 search results.

Conduct the same search on at least two other search engines or repositories of your choice (such as DuckDuckGo, Bing, Yahoo, Facebook, or a library database).

Compare the search results across the different platforms. Analyze the differences and similarities in the top search results, and take note of any patterns that emerge.

Write a brief reflection (150-200 words) on your findings, discussing any biases or patterns you noticed across the search engines. (5 points)

Conduct an advanced search on one of the search engines, using filters or advanced search options to modify the search parameters.

Compare the results of the advanced search to the original search results. Analyze how the modifications affected the search results and any potential biases.

Choose one of the search engines or repositories you used and explore the search algorithm in more detail. Research how the algorithm works and how it might impact search results.

Write a brief summary of your research into the search algorithm, discussing any potential biases and limitations (150-200 words) (5 points)
