Growing concerns over the effectiveness of shift manager training in Jolly Donalds Fast

Food Inc. have reached the executives. Several reports have been made of new shift

managers feel lost post training once they are on the floor. A survey was conducted and

there were key knowledge gaps that needed to be addressed on the part of these new

shift managers and that these problems were occurring on a frequent basis. This project

was then proposed.

This project is intended to develop an onboarding guide that will serve as both a training

manual and an information resource for newly hired or promoted shift managers. The

guide will contain vital information such as compliance, food safety, standard operating

procedures and HR policies. The aim of this project is to improve the learning curve of

newly promoted shift managers, improve quality of knowledge transfer during training and

lessen instances of confusion during operations.
