Pakistan rice is famous for its fragrance and taste all over the world. Pakistan a strategic and important South Asian country is producing around 8.42 million tons of rice per annum and Pakistan exports about 3.65 million tons of rice around the globe. Our company Grain Deal Ltd will import rice from Pakistan and will be packed with our brand name Sun riceand distributed across Canada through feasible distribution channels. Our target market will be hotels and restaurants, family stores, and households with large families.

Research objectives

Grain Deal Ltd is planning to research to know the insights of the target customers/ market concerning consumption quantity, consumption pattern, quality and price consciousness, the importance of access to the product, and the value customers attach to the taste.

  1. To know the consumption quantity of the hotel and restaurant industry and the sales volume of major retail chains in Canada. It will help the company to know the quantity of rice to be imported from Pakistan.
  2. To know what the consumption pattern of the target market is. For example, hotels and restaurants take rice as a regular menu dish or as a casual and on-demand dish. Similarly, know families purchase rice products from stores regularly along with their monthly groceries or not? How often do households consume and cook rice?
  3. To know what the major suppliers of rice in the market are and what market share each of them has.
  4. To know the quality and price consciousness of the target market. It will help to define our value proposition and price strategy.

These objectives are set to know the feasibility of the business to be established or not, what quantity to be imported, what quality to be imported, what price to be offered, and where the product will be placed i.e., distribution channels.
