Investigating creating a competitive advantage required in understanding the strengths and weaknesses of an organization. Companies that have excelled, such as Apple or Google, understood their competitive advantages and utilized the knowledge from understanding strengths and weaknesses to enhance their competitive position in the marketplace. There are many examples of successful companies who have done this well. On the other hand, there are failing companies that have gone in other direction. Conduct some research over the last several years and identify two companies that have fallen on hard times. (Toys R Us is one example but there are many others.) After identifying two companies, analyze the factors that caused the company to go into decline and finally fail. Prepare an essay that analyzes the factors that lead to the decline of these two companies.
