Is there any rationale as to linking traditional mail handling to electronic mail handling? I ask that because the Constitution (4th Amendment) intent was to prevent unlawful intrusions by the government, and that did not include when a private citizen or a private organization or company consented or provided access to their home, business or private building for police to search and/or if they voluntarily hand over things to police.
