Stipulations for people less than 18 years of age are made but, acceptance of the terms are presented as your utilization of the platform. Basically, if you access it, you agree to it. Any recourse for issues you have is automatically bond by an arbitration clause which is presented as a notice to the user within the terms.

e-contracts are just as legally enforceable as normal contracts however, written contracts have a higher standard of knowledge when parties enter into them. A physical signature is normally required delineating that you agree. In the e-contract world, a simple click of the button or permission by negation allows for companies to do whatever they have stipulated. And, in the lack of a digital bill of rights, the users have no footing on which to stand regarding what the companies do with any of your information. Interestingly, Tik Toc's terms of service state ""you must provide accurate and up-to-date information. It is important that you maintain and promptly update your details and any other information..." (Tik Tok Terms of service, 2022). This means that in essence, you agree to update them on changes and a failure to do so breaches that contract. Now, why in the world would Tik Tok feel it necessary to require continuous updates to your information?
