It is important for supervisors to actively support their direct support staff for each of the following reasons except: 

a) staff have very little, if any, prior experience. 

b) the job responsibility is new and demanding. 

c) staff may be used to a negative and punitive management style. 

d) staff are inherently motivated to work with individuals with disabilities
