Jacob recently purchased a jewellery shop that specialises in hand-crafted crystal jewellery pieces. Jacob wants to expand his business, so he asks his friend Sam (who has worked in the industry for many years) to take samples of Jacob's jewellery to some other jewellery shops in town and also purchase nice pieces that Jacob can sell on in his shop. Jacob tells Sam that he should not buy pieces of jewellery over $1000 without asking Jacob first. He also tells Sam that he doesn't want him to buy jewellery made from stones from Africa, as he is concerned about ethical practises of sourcing gems from parts of Africa. He provides Sam with a business card that has Sam's name and Jacob's new jewellery shop logo on the front. Sam visits Lucy and asks about what kind of jewellery she has for sale. Lucy offers Sam a deal for special Tanzanian crystals at 50% off. The price for each piece is $1500 (usually $3000 ). Sam thinks that this is too good a deal to pass and purchases six pieces of jewellery for Jacob to sell at his shop. When Jacob discovers the transaction with Lucy, he wishes to avoid the contract, claiming Sam had no authority to purchase the jewellery. Sam never presented his card to Lucy, but Lucy thought that Sam was working for Jacob (Sam told Lucy he was working for Jacob). Advise Jacob. Please use case law to support your
