LATASHA: I have taken an economics class and the word "utility" rings a bell. So what you're basically saying is that because of the law of $,$ we're not likely to get as much enjoyment out of an additional pineapple as we will from this one? Are you sure we should even buy this one?

JAKE: Absolutely! It's not about whether or not buying another pineapple would increase our $$ utility$-$it would$-$just not by enough to be worth the price.
