1. Jalen is a 9th grade student with a significant cognitive impairment. He is ambulatory and appears to have vision and hearing within normal limits. He communicates using mostly one and two word phrases. Recent evaluation data shows his receptive language to be at the 4th to 5th grade level, much higher than his expressive language skills. He functions independently within structured school settings (e.g., can generally obtain and eat his lunch independently, can use the restroom independently). 

Write an annual goal and at least two short-term for Jalen to learn the target skill of grocery shopping.
