James Prior was a university-trained farmer who invented a device for putting seeds and fertilizer into the ground in one operation. It was a relatively simple device but he was granted a patent for it. Ned Blue, an engineer and part-time farmer, soon after developed a different device that in the end accomplished the same as Prior's. Blue's device though was very different structurally and mechanically. When Blue went to apply for the patent, he discovered Prior's patent in place. Blue was surprised as Prior had not manufactured his product and it was not for sale on the market. Which statement(s) is (are) true? Blue would be able to obtain a patent for his invention because it is remarkably different than Prior's even though it accomplishes the same in the end O Prior's invention did not meet the requirement that a product be produced for the benefit of society Blue's invention did not meet the requirement that the product be useful and new. Both A and B are correct None of the above are true
