Janice, a graduate employee, joined the team having no experience in a corporate environment. She noticeably lacked self-confidence and often criticised herself when she got something wrong. Her team member, Alice, having noticed this started to constantly criticise Janice. Even though other team members witnessed this, they did not try to intervene. In a the team meetings Alice referred to Janice as idiot, Janice burst into tears and ran out of the room. Other team members were feeling seemingly uncomfortable and did not know what to say.
