Kaido Co. recognised allowance for doubtful debts amounting to $0.25 million. Under the taxation legislation, no deduction is allowed until the bad debts have been written off. 2. During the year, Kaido Co. recognised rental receivable of $2 million that has been earned. However, rental income is only taxable upon receipt. 3. The company provides for warranties on goods sold of $180,000. However, the tax rules only allow cash spent on actual repairs. 4. Income tax rate has decreased from 25% to 20%.
